This was fun field trip with Xani's class. We went into the Georgia mountains and hiked around looking at different trees. Some were really old and very tall. At the end they got to make a piece of paper from tree pulp. Lots of fun to be with Xani and her friends from school.When Xani was little she had a beautiful chenille blanket. She quickly found that she enjoyed poking her fingers through the threads and twisting and pulling. Her special "Blankie" soon became a pathetic ball of tangled yarn. It really didn't matter, she loved it just the same. I'm sure people thought I was horrible letting her carry it with her wherever she went. It didn't matter to me. I'm just glad she was comforted so easily. Besides, who could say no to her? She was so dang cute!!
