Tasia performed in "Broadway Idol" tonight. She did a short monologue and sang the song "Good Morning Baltimore" from Hairspray. She did awesome even with a cold. She was the first to perform. We were very proud of her.

Tasia held a cheerleading camp this summer to help pay for girls camp. These were the girls that came. They had a great time!

Tickling the ivories

CR has a great ability to play the piano. He recently won first place in a talent show at school by playing "All of me" by John Schmidt. I love to have the house filled with this music. Besides playing for fun, he also enjoys playing for priesthood opening exercises. CR taught himself a new John Schmidt song this summer which is no small feat. It is incredible to see the talent he has. He loves our new baby grand. After seeing it for the first time, he gave a sly smile and replied, "She's sexy!" I guess you could say this is one of his first true loves. Thanks to Linda Findlay for teaching him and fostering this love. What a great gift you've given him.

We are so excited to announce that Xani has officially learned to ride her bike! BTW - She does have on shorts under the LONG shirt. We haven't become true hill billies - yet.

Bri - 1st day of school

This is Bri's first day of school. She's in class with her best friend Maia. Take note of her shrimpiness. Unfortunately, height does not run in our family.

We spent a lot of time at the cheer gym this summer. Both Tasia & Xani got their back handsprings on the floor. They are loving it!

CR managed to kill our old push lawn mower by running it with no oil... Personally I think it was a plot to get a new "self propelled" lawn mower??

Froggy

CR found a frog on the driveway. Since Xani LOVES frogs, he brought it in for her. We realized that the poor thing was not doing well in the vase we put him in. Xani made a very grown up decision to let Sticky, the frog go. It was very hard. Her little heart was breaking...

First day of School

This was the first day of school. I think it was most difficult for me. First I dropped off Xani and Bri. It was hard to leave Bri. She looked so happy. I can't believe my baby is all grown up.

Next I dropped off C.R. at high school. That was a trip. As he walked onto campus for the first time, he turned to me, smiled and gave me the I love you sign. I could see in his eyes tons of emotions from "YES!! This is cool." to "Oh crap, what's next?" Of course, I went home and cried my eyes out. He doesn't know how he touched my heart with his smile. I'll never forget that look.
